Looking Tired
Why do I look tired all the time?
Do people comment that you look tired, or do you feel you look tired?
Dark circles under the eyes and heavy upper eyelids can make you look tired. Dark circles may be caused by swelling or puffiness under the eyes, blue skin discoloration or pigmentation, and shadowing from volume loss in the cheeks and around the eyes. Fat pads and bone support the eye ligaments, and reduced support can create a hollow under the eyes or a deepened tear trough. Heavy upper eyelids occur with skin aging and reduced support from underlying bone and fat pads.
How we treat a tired appearance
A clinical assessment is essential to identify the causes unique to you. At TAC we offer treatments that refresh a tired look, including microneedling, skin boosters, and PDO threads that improve skin quality by hydrating and stimulating collagen. For volume loss, dermal fillers can help. Botulinum toxin can also elevate the eyebrows to help lift sagging upper eyelids.
Our approach to treating tear troughs prioritizes natural results. We first restore volume in the cheeks or temples to reinforce the structures that support the tear trough ligaments, creating a gentle lifting effect. If additional softening is needed, we can then directly fill the tear troughs.
The result is a fresher, more rejuvenated look, as if you have returned from a restful holiday.
